A major volcanic eruption in Indonesia has disrupted air travel across the country, forcing several airports to close as volcanic ash spread through the atmosphere. Mount Anak Krakatau, located in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra, has remained active after a powerful eruption that lasted for about 25 hours.
