AMAZON CARGO PLANE CRASHES IN MIAMI
A tragic aviation accident at Miami International Airport has left at least five people dead and five others injured after an Amazon cargo aircraft overran a runway on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The Boeing 767-300 freighter, operated by 21 Air for Amazon Prime Air, was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it overran the runway and struck several vehicles. The aircraft caught fire, prompting a major emergency response at the airport. WHAT HAPPENED The accident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. local time as the aircraft was landing at Miami International Airport. After leaving the runway, the plane struck multiple ground vehicles before coming to a stop. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where they encountered fire, heavy smoke and a fuel leak.
