Sultan of Sokoto Addresses Genocide Claims

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has addressed growing concerns surrounding insecurity and allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria. Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, has once again been shaken by a series of deadly terror attacks, highlighting the persistent security challenges in northeastern Nigeria. The coordinated assaults, which occurred in the early evening, targeted multiple crowded locations across the city, leaving significant casualties and widespread fear among residents. According to reports from security authorities, at least 23 people were killed and over 100 others injured in what are believed to be suicide bombings carried out almost simultaneously.
