MEDICAL PLANE MISSING OFF NANTUCKET
A search and rescue operation is underway off the coast of Massachusetts after a medical transport aircraft carrying six people disappeared during a flight from Bermuda to Boston. The aircraft, a Canadian-registered Gulfstream G100 operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, departed L.F. Wade International Airport in Bermuda early Saturday and was scheduled to arrive at Boston Logan International Airport. However, the aircraft lost contact with air traffic controllers while flying over the Atlantic Ocean near Nantucket. Four Canadians and two Bermudian nationals were reportedly aboard the aircraft. The Canadians included two pilots and two medical personnel, while the Bermudian passengers were a patient and a companion accompanying the patient.
