Residents of Eziobodo and nearby communities in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State are living in fear following a recent violent attack reportedly carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
According to reports, the attack occurred on Wednesday night, 13 May 2026, along the Eziobodo–Ihiagwa axis near the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). Gunshots reportedly echoed across the community for nearly an hour as armed men allegedly blocked roads, attacked commuters, and abducted several people.
