ADELEKE WINS SECOND TERM IN OSUN AS TINUBU CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR

Governor Ademola Adeleke has secured re-election as the Governor of Osun State following the governorship election held on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The result has generated significant political attention across Nigeria, particularly because the election comes ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adeleke emerged victorious after defeating his major challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Reports from the election indicate that Adeleke won 19 of Osun State's 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured 11. The result gives Adeleke another four-year mandate to lead the state.
